Working with styles
What's in style?
BanksyMS makes use of css to provide you with some ways to modify the appearance of things in your page. In any BanksyMS site, the styles available for you to use will vary. Specialised styles can be added for you bt the developer. The styles available will also vary depending on the type of content (paragraphs, figures, etc.). The best way to get the feel of how styles work. is just to try them on the playpen page.
Trying things out
The best way to see the effect of the styles available to you is just to try them out. The names of the styles are designed to be as self-explanatory as possible. It is easy to clear them if you dont like the effect. To see what styles can be applied to a given content item, put the page into edit mode and hover over the icon. That will produce a drop down menu, something like the one in the aside, showing styles available for the item. Selecting one of them will add it to the list of styles currently applied to the item and the style will be applied instantly (but you might need to switch out of edit mode to see exactly how the item will look.
Fixing a mess
So what happens if you don't like the styles you have added? Simple - just clear them using the item. This will remove all styles. At present, there is no way to delete specific styles, but since it is very easy to add styles and you would rarely apply more than three styles to an item, this should not cause much extra work or delay. The developer will consider adding the ability toremove styles piecemeal if there are enough requests for this.
